Liz Forney

My heart is happiest at the intersection of curiosity, faith, and creativity.

I grew up in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania and my journey has taken me through the non-profit world, to seminary, pastorates large and small, book and commentary article writing, Hospice Chaplaincy, and now both individual and group spiritual direction.

Throughout my creative journey I have explored dozens of artistic media: kiln formed glass, watercolors, acrylic, mixed media, alcohol inks, polymer clay, mosaic tile, needle felting, oil painting, pastels, ceramics, precious metal clay, stained glass, and even graffiti.

I love them all.

The practice of exploring color, shape and texture in order to explore what truly matters deep down began in me decades ago.  As a young woman I found I could "hear" my inner world better with paint and paper. Something alchemical and healing happens when we quiet the words and let our eyes, hearts, and hands explore and guide us.

Over the years I created a process of contemplative inquiry and creative expression that allows participants to listen deeply within and give voice to the dynamics and hidden truths longing to be discovered…… and Contemplative Creativity was born.

I hope you will join me in discovery, insight, and play.
